About Me

Thank you for your interest in The Dinner Belle homemade meal service!  This adventure began for me in November of 2009 when my sister-in-law came to me and asked if I could help her out by making some meals for her family each week when she had to work a full-time schedule.  At the time, I stayed at home with my beautiful little girl, June Presley, and was seeking employment that would not sacarifice my commitment to my family.  God was in my corner, as usual, and guided my heart to this form of expressing  my creative desires and to continue working with my passion for food and cooking.  I was raised in the kitchens of very talented Aunts and Grandmothers, but back then I appreciated the eating more than paying attention to the cooking!  ...which led me to culinary school in 1999.  I wanted to learn how to provide a meal and be confident in the kitchen on my own.  One particularly humiliating moment that led me to culinary school was years ago when I asked my Aunt for her tuna salad recipe.  Her reply, after laughter, was "there's no recipe for tuna salad, just mix whatever you like in it!"  I remember being completely devistated because that did me no good in managing a batch of tuna salad that day.  I didn't even know where to start!  Years later, I dare say now that my tuna salad is better than any I've ever tried, simple as it may be, and without hesitation my recipes will ALWAYS be shared :)

Food and family just go together!  The dinner table is a daily opportunity to share our faith, reflect on the day, and to slow our busy schedules to make time for our loved ones.  Sharing a meal together at the table was an important part of my childhood and is a tradition I wish to continue with my own family.  I look forward to the opportunity in helping you and your family create lasting memories over a homemade meal as well.

The best of the day to you!
